Ed Donakey is offering free tickets for the closed out Night In Old San Antonio being held on Friday evening for the first twenty-five (25) people who sponsor him for $100 or more. This is a $35 value IF there were tickets available. As the Conference Chair he has access to a few remaining tickets and is not above opening the gates for a good cause! That is a closed out all you can eat function on Friday evening.
Walk sponsors would be able to join us for a festive evening filled with fun, characters, food, and music in the historical art village of La Villita. Mariachis will welcome you into the plaza where you will be entertained by a traditional band and folkloric dancing. Enjoy a HUGE Mexican buffet, including beef and chicken fajitas, aguacates (stuffed half avocado), chicken flautas, chalupas, quesadillas, Texas Caviar, handmade tortillas with cheese & salsa, a dessert cart, and ice tea & lemonade. A cash bar will be available offering beer, wine Sangria, tequila margaritas, and soft drinks. The San Antonio Conservation Society only hosts 10 of these evenings each year, so we feel fortunate to offer this to our conference participants.
For a $100 sponsorship you would get a free Preserve the Pension Tee Shirt and entrance to A Night in Old San Antonio!
These tickets are sold out and are not available in any other way! Support the Preserve the Pension project and have fun at A Night in Old San Antonio. There are two ways to received Ed’s limited offer. Be one of the first twenty-five people to either:
1) Visit the Preserve The Pension booth on Thursday or Friday in the exhibit hall to make your donation and receive your shirt and NIOSA ticket; or
2) Go immediately to https://www.preservethepensions.org/donate to support this meaningful cause. Be sure to select Ed Donakey in the “Honors and Tributes” area. Then bring your verification to the Preserve The Pension booth to pick up your shirt and NIOSA ticket.
Remember that this is a limited offering. Only the first 25 people receive the shirt and the NIOSA ticket!
We are trying to have fun with this contest, but in reality we are supporting a meaningful and important project. The pension files that are being digitized contain significant genealogical data and are being made available to the entire world for free. Please contribute what you can and sponsor one of the walkers so that we can finish this project. Every penny counts and is appreciated.
“Thank you for your support!”
