The Texas State Genealogical Society (TSGS) and the San Antonio Genealogical and Historical Society (SAGHS) serve as co-hosts for the FGS 2014 Conference, “Gone to Texas,” in San Antonio.
TSGS was founded in November 1960 in Fort Worth, Texas. Membership is open to individuals, societies, libraries, museums and family surname associations. In addition to providing programs to help educate genealogists, a great deal of TSGS’ time and energy is dedicated to preservation of and access to Texas resources on local, regional and statewide basis and promoting the awareness of the need to preserve family heritage.
