Holiday Inn & Suites Purchased by New Owner--Becomes Fort Wayne Inn

One of the downtown conference hotels, the Holiday Inn & Suites, has recently been purchased by Fort Wayne Hospitality LLC and has been renamed the Fort Wayne Inn. The most important news for FGS conference attendees is that their room reservations and room rates are being honored by the new owners. If you had a room reserved at the Holiday Inn, it is still reserved at the same property now called the Fort Wayne Inn.

The sales staff provided our conference committee with the following report:

"The former Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites located at 300 E. Washington Blvd is now the Fort Wayne Inn. This is very exciting news to our hotel. We are under new ownership and the new owners are very motivated in totally renovating our hotel. Susan Arney has been promoted as General Manager. Within the next few weeks when you drive by you will be very surprised. From what the new owners have told us the hotel is getting a complete face lift beginning with the exterior of the hotel.

"This process will take some time as we will be staying open for business. The goal is to become a Clarion Hotel. The Clarion is the top tier of the Choice Hotel Brand. The new owners are telling us their hope is to have the flag within the next 3 to 4 months. All individual and group reservations can be made by calling our local phone number at 260-422-5511. Our reservation system is in house only until we become a Clarion Hotel."

A current newspaper article about this sale can be found at the following link:

Again, the good news is that your reserved Holiday Inn room is now waiting for you at a new (and all the time improving!) Fort Wayne Inn.
